• SimpleDesign ---> OnceAndOnlyOnce -- If you have simple, redundant code, you have simple, stupid code. See: RedundancyIsInertia. You could generalize this by saying that each of the XpSimplicityRules depends on the rules above it. Many people hear "SimpleDesign" and hear "SimpleStupid" (see SimpleStupidVsSimpleElegant). The parts of XpSimplicityRules are each dependent on the parts it.

Maybe instead of SimpleDesign we should call it Parsimonious Design instead. The idea is we're trying to do more with less...
